ServicesChronic Pain / Fibromyalgia

Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia often occur together and can be a devastating health problem. One thing known is that physical pain takes an emotional toll, making your body hurt even more.

Chronic Pain
Over 26 million (one in ten) Americans are being treated for chronic pain and many more go untreated. Chronic pain disables more people than cancer and heart disease.

Everyone suffers from acute pain when injured or ill, but acute pain goes away quickly. Chronic pain is pain that has not gone away or recurs frequently even after six months have passed. Chronic pain affects people of all ages, races, and occupations, and it interferes with every aspect of a person's life.

Chronic pain can occur anywhere on the body, but common complaints are of lower back pain, headaches, and arthritis pain.

Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia affects all persons but is seen more often in women than men. Persons suffering from Fibromyalgia usually ache all over, sleep poorly, stiffen when walking and are tired all day. They are prone to headaches, memory and concentration problems, dizziness, numbness and tingling, itching, diarrhea, and crampy abdominal or pelvic pain.

Fibromyalgia often runs in families but the causes are unknown. At one time it was thought Fibromyalgia was a psychiatric condition, but that has been proven false. Even though depression and anxiety occur, they are the result of Fibromyalgia - not the cause.

You can reclaim your life from pain through proper therapy.
